How we design your deck
A good deck starts with good questions. Here's how we get from an empty corner of the garden to a drawing you can say yes to.
Four stages
- I
The visit
We measure, take levels, note the sun and shade, check drainage and access, and listen to how you want to use the space.
- II
The concept
We draw the deck: its shape, levels, steps, any seating, planters, balustrades and where the light goes.
- III
Refine
You tell us what you'd change. We adjust the drawing until it feels right.
- IV
Build
One price for the build. A vetted crew builds what was signed off, and one person keeps you posted throughout.
On the visit
What we'll ask you
- When do you most want to be outside: mornings, evenings, weekends?
- How many people usually sit out?
- Dining, lounging, or both?
- Any children, dogs or barbecues to plan for?
- What do you love and dislike about the garden now?
- Timber's natural look, or composite's low upkeep?

It depends on the season and the size of the project. We'll give you a timescale at the visit.
